French Tech Rise


French Tech Rise is a French initiative to support startups financing in the regional ecosystems. 

The French Tech East Capitale, with its partners, organizes a unique regional edition to promote and take an active part in the financing of high potential startups who provide a strong value creation to our cross-border territory. 

This edition aims to allow startups from the territory to participate in an exclusive event with venture capital investors.


Startups are selected according to the following criteria: 

  • Forecast fundraising within 18 months
  • Financing either in pre-Series A, Serie A or B
  • Startup less than 10 years old
  • Head office based in the Grand Est  Region (Alsace, Lorraine, Champagne Ardennes) and/or in the Greater Region (Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, Wallonia, Luxembourg, Lorraine)
  • Specific innovation 


On D-Day, the startups will be split according to their maturity stage and pitch on stage in front of venture capital investors, as well as the financing actors involved in their respective development : 

  • Development : pre-Series A & Serie A (500k€ – 10M€) 
  • Scaling : Series B (+10M€)

Among the startups participating in the regional edition, one of them will be selected to participate in the national edition in Paris at the end of the year .


  • from July 1 to August 28, 2022: startup applications
  • end of August : selection of the 50 participating startups by a jury
  • end of August – beginning of September: training session(s) & onboarding of startups with pitch preparation

On D-Day :

  • 1:30 p.m.: Welcoming of investor & start-up participants 
  • 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.: pitches from the distributed startups
  • 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: Cocktail Networking & discussions
